Is there a limit to how little or how much scrap metal you can collect?

Are there any legal requirements for selling scrap metal to you?
All scrap yards by law require all customers must be aged 18 years or older and be able to present valid ID such as a driving licence or passport to sell to scrap metal merchants. Even then we may question the validity of your scrap if any material is deemed suspicious and ask for further proof.
How much cash would you give me for 1 tonne of various scrap metal?
